12/21 Terrorism

今天應該是這學期以來最冷的一堂社課了！真的是冷得很誇張誇張誇張！！
很開心大家不畏寒風地來參與這最後一堂社課，Terrorism：）




News briefing mentions about the Copenhagen climate conference.


Nickie passed down the DR, wishing everyone to see what had passed in the conference.
Something really needs to be solved, isn't it?
























接下來正式的社課就開始了！

First, Kyle gave us the UN definition of terrorism.

Remember three elements of Terrorism!!!
"Intimidation, Fear, Unlawful Violence".

Kyle特別提到，一般我們所認為的terrorism都是一個拿著槍的大男人，
然而在這，我們可以發現，一個美麗的女孩也可能被定義為terrorism.




Then, Yuting told us what excatly causes of terrorism.

The injustice turns out to be the violence.

Poverty, Religions fanaticism...etc.

然而，Yuting特別提到，貧窮並不真的是導致terrorism的理由。
從一篇他節錄的文章中提到，真正發起terrorism的人，都是那些有能力、受過教育的人們。


Next, Vivian provides a few case studies in order to let us understand this issue deeply.

Vivian說，雖然我們應該要對抗terrorism，但我們應該要知道，為什麼他們要這麼做的原因。
不違反人道主義、保護基本人權的狀況下，對這個世界做出反應。








接下來是各組的討論時間，

雖然因為時間的限制讓大家不能一直討論下去，但大家上台分享的想法都很棒！
